“(I) love weaving with spruce roots because as a medium they present numerous challenges at all stages of the process and because solving these challenges always leaves me in awe of the master basket weavers that came before us.”

Juror comment: A good combination of colors and weaving techniques, evenly prepared and woven. The width of the grass used covers the underlying weave nicely in this piece.
